PetPlanHero was created to make pet insurance easier to understand, compare, and choose. Our editorial work is independent, fact-checked, and designed to help pet owners make informed decisions with clarity and confidence.

- User value: Rankings prioritize factors that matter most to pet owners: coverage depth, claims experience, transparency, and long-term value.
How We Review & Rank
We evaluate providers using a structured framework that may include: coverage scope (accident/illness, hereditary conditions, exclusions), waiting periods, reimbursement options and deductibles, annual limits, claims speed and direct-pay options, customer feedback, policy language clarity, and digital experience. We also sample national pricing for typical pet profiles to compare cost in context. Scores are updated when policies change or new data becomes available.
